About Hansen Tsang
I have been creating images since I was eight years old. My father was an avid amateur photographer. I started to take snap shots with a Kodak Instamatic since I can remember. My father gave me a Rolleicord twin lens reflex camera for my birthday and I followed him on his photography outings. He and his friends were very passionate about their photography and I would watch and learn. I loved to go to photography exhibitions with him to look at all the images that the local photographers created.
I continued to create photographs over the years. Of course the level of my creativity changed as my life changed. When I was busy earning a living I would carry a point and shoot camera and take snap shots of the subjects around me. When I could afford the gear and the time I would slow down and create more in depth photographs. There was a point in my life when I considered creating underwater photographs as a career. I am a certified SCUBA diving instructor. So naturally I enjoyed capturing the underwater scenery as well as on land. Many friends realized that I enjoy photography invited me to document their weddings and special events. From there my interests in photography started to diversify.
I found that I always enjoyed spending a lot of time in a quiet dark room creating special effects and manipulating images. I was always trying to make an image looked a little different. Due to the lack of real estates I never had a private darkroom of my own. I managed to use public dark rooms in schools and public libraries to develop my images. It was a bit inconvenient to say the least. When digital photography started to blossom and images could be processed and manipulated on the computer I quickly embraced and learned to use Photoshop and other image manipulation software.
I always have another passion in my life. That is to fly radio controlled fixed wing aircrafts and rotor wing helicopters. I have been flying them since I was 13 years old. At the beginning of 2000 I was trying to capture images on the location of my current residence from the air. The footage I captured from a full size helicopter was not the quality I expected. So I decided to attempt to use both my photographic and flying skills to capture images from the air using radio controlled aircrafts and helicopters. Technology was on the verge to produce cameras small and light weight enough to be taken aloft with a miniature aircrafts and helicopters. I started with a plastic disposable camera and slowly progress to various digital still image cameras and video cameras. At this point I can capture both still and video images at the highest resolution with my miniature radio controlled helicopters.
Finally I decided to share my skills and capture images professionally. I have the equipment and resources to capture the images you desire in whatever situation, environment that is required.
I still enjoy capturing images for myself. I still put my heart and soul into each and every image I create. I strongly believe that if it is not fun then it is not worth doing.
So contact me if you have a specific requirement in anything photography. I am sure I can help you. My rates are reasonable and negotiable. I will be glad to sit down and see what I can do to help.
